Boswellia - Ancient Ayurvedic Remedy
for Arthritis and Gout
Arthritis and gout are universal disorders that affect the vast majority of mankind to some extent. There are basically two types of arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is a gradual, age-related deterioration of joint cartilage without the inflammation that characterizes rheumatoid arthritis. Both, however, cause a great amount of pain and joint deformities with them.
Throughout the ages, men and women have sought remedies that could allay the pain associated with gout and arthritic conditions. Now there is an alternative with an old Ayurvedic remedy Boswellia, from the Boswellia serrata tree.
This herb has been reported to have potent anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic properties and throughout history, extracts from the Boswellia tree have provided relief from arthritis and conditions leading to joint pain (such as gout). Current scientific methods have confirmed this plant’s extraordinary properties and benefits that, in some cases, surpass those of conventional medical treatment for arthritis and inflammation. The benefits of boswellia date back to antiquity and are only now stepping into a modern scientific and medical context.
Supplementing with boswellia may enhance patient’s quality of life by ameliorating the symptoms associated with inflammatory conditions of the joints.
