Digestive Health

Issues within the digestive system are numerous, they range from IBS an  umbrella term used allopathically to cover most digestive issues. Symptoms, for example diarrhoea, constipation, nausea, abdominal pain belching and bloating could be symptoms of many digestive complaints.

Irritable bowel syndrome also known as spastic colon normally affects the muscular contractions of the digestive tract, by becoming irregular and uncoordinated. This interferes with the movement of food, and waste material, and leads to the accumulation of mucous and toxins in the intestine. The accumulated materials can cause an obstruction of the digestive tract, trapping gas and stools, leading to bloating, distention and constipation.

Crohn’s Disease

Crohn’s Disease is an inflammatory disorder, that extends deep into the lining of the intestinal wall. It usually affects the small intestine, but it can occur in other parts of the GI tract, from mouth to anus. The Symptoms of Crohn’s include cramps, abdominal pain, diahorrea, rectal bleeding, loss of appetite, and weight loss. A complication of the disease is blockage of the intestine, caused by scar tissue.
