Anxiety is a condition that be characterized by increased pulse rate; heightened breathing, palpitations, perspiration, muscular tension,  and dryness of the mouth. Emotionally, anxiety is characterized by worry, apprehension, panic, or fear. Anxiety may also be a symptom of stress.

Start with a good multi-vitamin and particularly make sure that levels of B-vitamins and Folic acid are sufficient. Unstable blood sugar levels can contribute to mood and emotional state, so eat nutritious meals regularly packed full of foods with a high glycaemic index (GI) or complex carbohydrates, rather than simple refined Low GI sugars. Omega 3 fatty acids are important to brain function so include these in your diet or take a supplement. 

Magnesium may be useful as it is referred to as an anti-stress mineral, because of its role on muscle relaxation.

Rhodiola Rosea a herbal remedy is an adaptogen, that helps the body adapt to stress, and help alleviate the symptoms of anxiety.

Avena sativa nourishes the central nervous system, and can be helpful with anxiety. Avena sativa is also useful for muscular tension.
