Basil is a stimulating and clearing oil, useful when concentration is needed or when feeling tired. It helps with concentration and fatigue. Healthmatters diffuses this instore regularly. It is clear, sweet, spicy and yellowish in colour. There are approximately 5 types of Basil essential oil on the market today. This is a True Sweet Basil Oil (Ocimum Basilicum) known as Linalol type. This is the safest and most pleasant of the Basil oils used in Aromatherapy.

To create an atmosphere for focus and study, try adding 1 drop of Basil, 3 drops of Lemon and 1 drop of Peppermint to some water in an oil burner.

A blend of 1 drop each of Basil and Lavender in 10ml of Sweet Almond oil makes a good abdomen massage oil. Always massage the abdomen in a clockwise direction.

Main Theraputic Properties: Analgesic, Antispasmodic, Digestive Stimulant, Neurotonic, Stomachic, Antibacterial, Antifungal, Anticatarrhal.

Contraindications: Non toxic and non irritant in prescribed doses.
