Marigold (Calendula) Flowers 50g

Stock Status: In Stock
Information

Also known as calendula, these flowers are anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial, the flowers provide a useful herbal first aid kit, being helpful for all minor injuries, burns, bruises and strains. The tea is healing for internal conditions such digestive infections or externally, cooled for eye and irritated or damaged skin problems or applied as a hot or cold compress to muscle pain, bumps and bruises.

Use 2 to 3 teaspoons of dried herb per cup (this will depend on the density of the herb material). If mixing different herbs together, remember that the heavier constituents will settle so mix again before use. It is very important to cover the tea as it is brewing, many valuable essential oils will simply escape with the steam otherwise. Steep fragile flowers and leaves for 5 10 minutes, but denser substances such as roots will need 10 20 minutes and may benefit from simmering, to break down the woody material. Herb tea does not need to be drunk hot, you can make up a batch and carry it with you to drink the next day, or sip cold in irritated or hot conditions.
When drinking herbal tea at therapeutic strength, then just take 2 or 3 cups a day unless directed otherwise by your healthcare practitioner. Herbal teas from tea bags can be drunk more freely.

Each bag contains 50 grammes of dried Marigold flowers.
Suitable for vegans, Natural Product, Wild crafted herb.
